Poor Lebanon. If I could live in a different country, it would be Lebanon. It seems like it's going to explode soon, though. Possibly this year. I hope I'm wrong.

103 Palestinians died this week and it's the death of 8 Israelis that makes the front page?

Similarly:

Countless numbers of innocent Iraqis die at the hands of American soldiers, yet it's the death of one puppy that incites the anger of the nation?

On that note:

Women in the American army are drugged and raped (even killed) and the government tries to cover it up? Disgusting. Not only the army but Halliburton. This world makes me ill.

March 6, 2008

The high presence of chain restaurants in small, American mid-west towns makes me sick... And could offer partial explanation to the rising obesity rate. Note that it is not an overabundance of restaurants but a high rate of demand for places at which to eat out. So disappointing.

It angers me when people deny the existence of the following issues: obesity, global warming, monopolies, treatment of immigrant workers (illegal and legal!), health regulation breaches in food production, Africa in general. It seems people enjoy ignoring that Africa as a whole just doesn't exist. Makes it easier to live with yourselves, do'n't it?
